She's Unknowingly Wearing Something That Is Dangerous To Her Health - Can You Spot It?

Hot or not, there are some very common clothing items that can cause serious health problems.
When the use of lead was banned, overseas manufacturers searched for a cheap replacement metal for use in their budget jewelry. Some now use a cheap and easy to worth with element, cadmium. Cadmium also happens to be extremely toxic and linked with cancers and diseases of the kidneys, liver and bones.
A study in 2011 concluded that kids could be exposed to more than 100 times the recommended limit of cadmium if the jewelry came in contact with the mouth or was accidentally swallowed.
Facial Piercings Can Mess With The Brain
A study suggested that facial piercings can cause damage to the trigeminal nerve. The trigeminal nerve is responsible for connections sensations in the face with the brain. Damage to this connection can cause the eyes to become misaligned and losing balance.
Another study found that people with facial piercings that experienced headaches, dizziness and loss of balance were relieved of their symptoms after removing their jewelry.
Neckties Damage Eyesight
In a study, scientists measured the fluid pressure in the eyes before and after a necktie was put on. They found a large increase of pressure. Long term pressure in the eyeball has been shown to increase the likelihood of glaucoma.
Among the most common eye diseases, glaucoma can cause permanent damage to the retina and even blindness.
Nerve Damage From Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are known to compress the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. This nerve runs along the thigh and relays physical sensations to the brain. Constant pressure on the nerve can overstimulate it and cause a chronic neurological disorder called meralgia paresthetica. This disorder causes sensations of pain, burning, numbness, itching, tingling hyper sensitivity to heat and more.
Women who wear high heels or girdles are also at risk of meralgia paresthetica. Fortunately, in many cases the symptoms can be reversed by removing the offending clothing.
Immune And Sleep Systems Are Altered By Bras
A Japanese study in 1999 found that women who slept in their girdles or bras had lower levels of melatonin, a substance critical to sleep patterns.
Melatonin also helps regulate the immune system and menstrual cycle.
When Fashion Makes You Sick
Those skinny jeans and rings might look hot, but if they're cutting off your circulation and causing you to lose sleep, it might be time to put health before fashion.
