Get rid of dark under eye circles using this item you already have at home

Dark circles happen to just about everyone, but some interesting tips could fix them for good! No matter your age or skin type, discoloration under the eyes is a real pain and often times is unavoidable. Lack of sleep, allergies, prolonged crying and a poor diet all contribute to the zombie-like appearance. Dark circles can even make you appear older than you are. Thankfully, we've compiled fixes that you can make at home to give you a brighter, more awake look!
The Potato Fix
Potatoes have a natural bleaching quality that does wonders to dark circles! First, grate one or two potatoes and extract the juice. Soak up the potato juice with a cotton ball and gently pat the under eye area. Let the juice sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water. You can repeat this up to twice a day for a few weeks. If you don't want to go through the trouble of extracting the juice, you can also place slices of potatoes over your eyes - it gives the same effect!
Tea Time For Your Eyes
When you think about it, this one is a no-brainer! You can use tea bags to deliver caffeine, antioxidants and tannins to your needy eyes. This fix helps decrease eye inflammation (goodbye, puffy eyes!) and helps restore the natural color to your eyes. Refrigerate two used green tea bags for 30 minutes, and then place one bag on each eye. Leave the bags on for 15 minutes, then wash your face. You can repeat this method a few times a day for best results.
Brighten Up With Turmeric Paste
Turmeric is a fantastic spice to add to your favorite dishes, but creating a paste to correct dark circles is revolutionary. Turmeric will not only smooth the skin around your eyes, but its anti-inflammatory properties will de-puff and brighten. The fix is easy to make at home. Simply mix two teaspoons of turmeric powder with pineapple juice to create a thick paste. Gently apply to the eye area and leave on for 10 minutes before dabbing it off with a wet washcloth.
Almond Oil Magic
Almond oil is a very moisturizing and healing oil that will help with under eye darkness. It's even more helpful when combined with vitamin E oil to eliminate dark circles and maintain essential skin hydration. Simply massage a few drops of almond oil around your eyes before heading to bed. In the morning, rinse off with water and continue with your normal beauty routine.
The Tomato Fix
Tomatoes are not only a powerhouse of nutrition, but can help lighten dark spots. To make this easy potion, mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one half teaspoon of lemon juice. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and dab around your eyes, leaving on for 10 minutes. The lemon juice additionally helps brighten skin and will leave your under eyes thanking you!
Rose Water Cure
Rose water is a calming and soothing treat for tired eyes. It reduces inflammation and also acts as a great face toner! To get the best results, soak cotton pads in rosewater, then set on eyes while relaxing for 15 minutes. Repeat up to twice daily for bright, rosy eyes!
