Target Releases New Swimsuit Campaign, People Quickly Realize Something's Missing

If you're planning to sit by the pool or relax on the beach this summer, then you may already be thinking about whether or not that old one-piece or bikini still fits. If it doesn't, then it's probably time to buy a new one!
Unfortunately, shopping for swimsuits can make some women feel like the cold weather and bulky sweaters can't come back around soon enough.
That's because clothing retailers always use gorgeous young women to model their swimwear. These ladies seem to always have impossibly fit and shapely physiques, which the average woman just can't relate to.
However, Target has seen the light, and they are shaking up the industry with their new swimwear campaign. This particular photoshoot is different from Target's previous campaigns, and it has everyone talking!
When the photos went up, people immediately realized there was something different...
This year, Target decided to ditch the photoshop and show the world how real women look - but, no one is complaining! The retailer's spokeswoman Jessica Carlson said:
"It was important to us to use photography that represented their true beauty, without filters."
It's about time! Most women don't, and never will, look like a heavily photoshopped "ideal" model. Instead, the new swimwear campaign uses popular social media mavens from Instagram and YouTube to exemplify the "real world" look.
And, guess what - these online celebrities have wobbly bits, too!
Target's Spring 2017 swimwear campaign also encompasses various ethnic backgrounds and body types. Since no one is "one size fits all," it certainly makes more sense to showcase beauties of all sizes and colors.
