This Kindergartner's Homework Question Has The Internet Totally Stumped. Can You Figure It Out?

Do you remember what it was like when you were in Kindergarten? Your days were likely filled with crayons, monkey bars, snacks and lazy catnaps on hard, heavy-duty carpet.
Somewhere along the way you probably picked up a thing or two about your A-B-C's and 1-2-3's. And the term "homework" hadn't even made it into your limited vocabulary yet.
Sadly, the Kindergartners of today have it rough. Not only is Elmer's glue off the snack list, but the wee little ones also have to take home graded homework assignments. Yikes!
However these supposedly kid-friendly worksheets are anything but. It even has their parents confused.
It's time to put your thinking caps on. Can you figure this out?
You'd think it'd be pretty easy for a grown-up to help their 5-year-old ace a simple quiz, but these riddles seem to come straight from the world of nonsense.
Rocye Winnick posted a photo of her daughter's take-home assignment to show just how ridiculous the world of education has become.
The homework starts out simple enough. This particular worksheet focuses on the letter "T" and it includes some extra space to practice writing upper and lowercase versions of the letter.
After that, the student is supposed to "tap out the word in the picture and write the sounds you hear."
The first three pictures are pretty easy to identify - tub, ten, and top. But, what about the last illustration with the group of rabbits?
Since this homework is all about the letter T, and the first three images all start with the letter T, one would logically conclude that the last image would also begin with - you guessed it - the letter T.
So, what do you think the answer be? Twabbit? The Bunnies? Thumper? Two Twins?
Mom Royce and her daughter ended up writing "pet" as the answer, which was close, but she was still left puzzled by the "ok" grade mark the teacher left.
"The real answer was ‘vet' which makes no sense!"
If you think anything like a real kid, then Chantel Hoag's imaginative comment on Twitter makes much more sense:
"Obviously it's "tennis" since the bunnies are clearly frolicking and lounging on an abandoned court. Duh."
Another Twitter user felt that the answer should have been "turf" since rabbits like to eat grass.
Whatever answer you come up with, it would certainly make more sense than the real one!
Royce said that the homework isn't usually so confounding, but her daughter did bring home another assignment that had equally ridiculous answers.
"The answers to the two bottoms ones are kin and Ken! Again, how is a 5-year-old supposed to know that?"
She's right. Ken is supposed to be blonde and sitting next to Barbie in a convertible. Everyone knows that.
Ha ha, these answers are pretty wild! Hopefully the folks that came up with these questions aren't the same ones that write the SAT exams, or no one will ever make it into college.
