Fans of Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford know that they're always very open about all aspects of their lives. The besties and co-hosts on TODAY recently talked about a sensitive subject that many women try to evade.
They talked about age. The two women have never fibbed about how old they are and have no intention of ever fabricating their age.

In an interview with Prevention magazine for its special Love Your Age issue, the morning show ladies said age matters, but not because they want to be younger and lie about it.
Kathie Lee said she knows how quickly the years can pass by. So, she's making the most of the time she's being blessed with on earth.
"It matters for me now, because I do the math for the first time in my life. I'm really aware that time is precious and finite and that I'm going to run out of time for some of the big things I want to do."
Hoda, 53, told Prevention that since she's become a mom to adorable Haley Joy this year, age isn't an issue. It's just a number.
"A year and a half ago, I would have said it matters a lot, more than it does now. But since Haley and Joel, the idea of age doesn't matter as much to me. I didn't think those things were possible at this age. I feel like if you're happier at 53 than you were at 43 and 33 and 23, there's hope."
Of course, both women give all the credit to their mothers for aging gracefully. Hoda's mom ran a marathon at age 60.
"I watched her complete something that made me realize you can do anything at any age. My mom is in her 80s, and she wears a two-piece bathing suit. There's something about watching somebody live her best life and try new things. She's always learning things."
As for Kathie Lee, she recently lost her mom, but fortunately she left this earth peacefully in her sleep. Kathie Lee described her as "the happiest human being" she knew. This change in Kathie Lee's life has led her to be more cognizant of her age and using her time wisely.
Women everywhere could learn a bit from these two women's outlook on life and aging. As the saying goes, you're only as old as you feel.
